Bob Certification
Here’s how certification works.
Every stylist starts with the Bob certification. You can do it online on your own schedule, or in person at a two-day event with Ray.
Getting certified online

Join the membership
Membership is $47 a month. It opens up all of our video tutorials and the full BOB CO Method, plus the certification module, which you can work through any time as a member.

Submit when you’re ready
When you feel ready, pay the $197 certification fee. That lets you submit two video haircuts and unlocks the quiz.

Ray reviews your work
If you pass the quiz, Ray watches your haircuts himself and gives you personal feedback.
- 04
Get certified and get found
Once you pass, you’re Bob Certified and listed on our public directory, where clients look for stylists near them.
Being a member gives you the training. Certification is earned by passing the review.

Our in-person certification events are two days long and held at participating salons.
